Will air sustain a 6600GT volt-mod?.........

I have a 6600GT with an arctic cooling nv silencer on. In the summer, room temperatures hover around 25*C +/- 1. According to riva tuner, the ambient temp. is 40ish. The temps of the core are 35*C idle and 51*C load. I measured the load by keeping the hardware monitoring window open and running aquamark3 - 51*C was the highest it got. Do you think air will sustain a volt-mod? Im aiming to reach 650 on the core and 1.35 GHz on the memory. Whats an acceptable temperature limit for the core under load?
