does it matter if the XP-90 overhangs the ram or towards the PCI-E slots?

I've never tested to see, but have heard that the heat pipes should either be on the sides or at the bottom not at the top. The XP90 should overhang your memory.

Memory. Never hurts to get some airflow over the dimms.

The mosfets like it cool too :)
