View Full Version : Clockgen Problem?
I've got:
DFI NF4 Ultra-D
Patriot XBLK
AMD 3000+ [Venice LBBLE 0517 APJW]
I cannot seem to get Clockgen running...
I've downloaded it [from offical site], double clicked on the exe, then the window with three options come up. I try click on any of them and.... nothing..
Is this supposed to happen or am I missing something here? I couldn't find any further information on the site, it said to just double click it to run and that's it..
Thanks

No offence intented, but : are you sure you got the *right* clockgen ? It's motherboard (well actually chipset) specific.
I know that you aren't intending to cause any offence.
Anyway, I checked and double checked (I downloaded the file twice in case of some weird corruption), and from the NForce4 section, it lists the same file (CG-NVNF4.zip) for the same three NForce4 based chipsets.
I was wondering, does it matter what version of the NVidia chipset drivers are installed? I've got the latest ones?

No drivers are needed, I can use it here directly after installing Windows :).
So you can't even click on any of the tabs?
That would be very odd......

In that case ... pass the case on to the feds :D
Joking aside, i've never heard of such a thing happening. Good luck, i hope you 'll get to the bottom of it ...
Sorry i couldn't help.

Click on tabs?
A window comes up with three buttons on it... like this:

But if I try to click on any of the buttons, it just closes?
i think thats more of a windows problem....not a clockgen problem.....ive had windows be a :banana::banana::banana::banana: to me and just decide not to run a program for some reason....
looks like you might be missing a dll somewhere?
Hmm.. It's a fresh install of Windows XP (SP2 slipstreamed).
I'll try reinstall to see if it's still there after my Prime stability test.

I have had issues with the newest 1.04 nforce4 clockgen and applying VID on the DFI...
I can't remember though, has this been posted before? Is there a workaround (besides setting VID in the BIOS?)

I agree is sounds like DLL missing. I would guess it got corrupted at download. Try downloading and installing it again
