I'm from Malaysia and I'm only 19. Currently in a university in Malaysia and will graduate in 3 years.
Malaysia doesn't have much of a future for fresh graduates without millionaire parents or without good rich famous contacts.
It's kinda like University-->Graduate->Work 9-5--> Earn just enough for a comfortable life-> Get married->have kids->Die.

we don't usually get to, you know...open a business and do something we like and still live a good solid life.

I've like had a rough idea of a few places I'd like to migrate and live in.
So in my mind, I kinda have.

1.England
2.US (New York, Minnesota, NJersey)
3.Australia (Perth)
4.Singapore.

I choose the above places because I have relatives living there. What are the pros and cons of living in those places?
I'd expect Singapore to be almost the same as malaysia, but the first three countries?

What's it like there? Seeing there're many people from different countries here, I'd like to know what you feel and think.

still really early, but thought I'd think about this first.

Why not canada? We are always looking for well educated immigrants. We also have universal health care and many freedoms. Consider putting us on the list aswell as im sure we would like to have you as a citizen... just dont like the french either jk

yeah, canada's nice too. but as I said, i put those above countries because I have relatives there.
I heard Canada has lots and lots of chinese?
That'd be quite like home :)

Also, I'd like to know what kinda jobs/career are more in demand?
Technical skills, I can cook.
Chinese food, almost any kinda noodles.
But not those thousand dollar abalone and all.

Non Technical skills.....well I'll graduate with a BA Degree majoring in Marketing and Advertising and Business Management.
do you think it'll be useful?

what's the average starting pay for graduates without experience?

When I get my IB diploma I'm going to either US or UK to study. The fact that I'm on a scholarship already increases my chances by quite a considerable amount.

After that I will most likely stay in the country which I have studied in for some time before moving back to either Czech Rep. or eventually Denmark. I'm not sure whether I'd like to live in the US for prolonged periods of time, as the state of the social services slightly scares me.

If I went to the UK there would be other issues though. A friends sister is at Cambridge, and she is not allowed to own a car or have a job. This is to ensure she remains focussed on studies, but only puts pressure on student and family.

I will most likely return to Denmark. I'm already and "immigrant" here with my family, but solely because of my fathers work. I've lived here most of my life, and regardless if better or for worse it feels more like home than Czech Rep. at the moment, even though I love the country very much. It really depends where the job oppurtunities are once you graduate :)

if your from malaysia youre probobly muslim, you can try hijra.net i hear saudi arabia are looking for IT staff to work overthere. but i guess it depends on your degree type.
i think any qualified immigrants are welcomed for citizenship to SA.

as for juliette, the fact taht you have a scholarship is gonna put you in good stead as a student over here (uk) , the tuition fees and the costs of simply staying in university are quite considerable for the international/ overseas student. approx. £1,600 ive heard from some guys from canada and tunisia.

i myself am in debt and im a brit national! im almost £25,000 in debt at the mo and i still have a year to go.. and thats just tuituion fees, not including books, eating, bills general living costs.

as for staying here, it depends on what your relatives/friends over here tell you. i couldnt possibley say what its like to move to another country for study. ive never done it.

hope this helps.

Well, I received a scholarship at Copenhagen International School (www.cis-edu.dk). Lets just say the rebate is huge. Otherwise there would be no way I could ever afford the school.

Please mind my first post, I noticed a few nasty gargling mistakes. I blame my hang over for the state of my post :) I just finished my O-Levels and Math A/O, which did a good job of killing me. I need between 65-80 for a B in A/O which I think would be great.

However for me, the future is in the stars :) It all depends on my IB exam results really. Then I will see what there is to do. As long as you are a gifted student you can always choose to simply continue your studies, provided you can afford it.
