First of all I'll show you some pics of my unfinished X-Bus:

As far as I know this is the most advanced baybus around right now, and it could've been the first software controlled baybus ever if the guy that developed it didn't have so much problems.
Development started in 2002, late 2002 there was a poll and Feb. 2003 orders could be placed, unfortunately the guy (--EasY--) had some personal problems and a few things went wrong (The first PCB's had a flaw), so things got delayed for quite a while (2 years), well to me it's not that bad as I was too late to order one (Only 50 were available) and some people canceled their order, so the 'group buy' opened again (early 2004) and I was able to order one (OK I had to wait about a year before I received it, but I'm happy I ordered one..eventho I still haven't tried it).

There's a faq here (http://www.xs4all.nl/~kruimpie/baybus/faq.htm) that should answer most of your questions.

The software still has a few bugs but as it's open source (License is still unknown) I'm sure that'll get sorted out.

Let me know if you're interested (I may kick him in the nads to get this thing commercially available :p: ).

BTW: I payed ~€54 which is ~$70 US (Including female Molex's that don't seem to exist...I told him to keep the money (~€7)), keep in mind that the price may (and probably will) go down when these go in production.

I'd be interested too at around 40-50 US dollars. Actually, it just sounds like such a cool toy. The modding would be so personalized.

What kinda draw can thoose Fan connectors sustain per channel? Like 5watt or so? Max 12v I am assuming?

Well the full name is Xtreme bayBus for a reason.

It uses SFP9540 MOSFET's and it depends on how well they're cooled:
@ TC=25ºC Continuous Drain Current -17A (204Watts).
@ TC=100ºC Continuous Drain Current -12A (144Watts).

As you can see it'll handle more than you'll ever want to use :D
Without passive heatsinks (Bare MOSFET) it'll probably handle 50Watts orso per channel (I'll need to do some testing).
