can you not reverse the money order or get his home adress or some contact detail from the money order?
i always thought that members of XS were honest and trustworthy.. i guess that little illusion is gone...tis a shame, there are some great deals on the for sale lists sometimes...
i think a change to some of the trading rules needs to be called for..
eg telephone contact details and some verification thats its you.. or somit like that...
im sorry 3rd-dimension for being a bit OT but it seems to be an issue thats cropping up more frequently than i feel comfortable with.

Third Dimension, i would contact Saaya and Kazoo on this. This is certainly starting to be an epidemic, and till now it has been occasional at best here at XS.

Bxa, that statement is out of line. Those who visit XS regularly ARE honest and trustworthy. You'll see OPB and PCI-Ice selling in FS for god sakes so theres no need to undermine them too ;) . Jackass, who indeed turned out to be one if this case is true, only had 176 posts, and most likely was around to get his 100 post requirement for the FS section of the forums (though I have met many GOOD ppl who came here for the same reason but were helpful and reliable). You should always make sure and check their heatware, ebay ratings, and see how helpful they are in providing you with other info about what you're about to buy (or just plain ask the mods about their reliability if you are unsure or their post count is low). It is wrong for anyone to assume that just because they're on XS, that they have the same credibility as the best and most committed of members here.
This may be a privately owned forum, but its open to the public...meaning anyone can join and consequently be will be welcomed here at XS...but for what purpose they join or what they do once they join can only be checked to a certain extent...and the moderators are doing one hell of a job making sure of it. If you're unsure if a seller is credible or if he's suspicious, contact the mods immediately.

I dont think your over the top to much. Some stuff here and get pretty pricey and would suck if hit for a grand or so and never given product. Anyways I contacted Kazoo and gonna see if contact can be made. I just wanna talk to him but he hasnt been on since the 7th of may. Just to let u know I bought the 3000+ quite a few months ago and was hoping he'd pop back on :(. We'll c if I can get in contact. I hope so.

yeah got in touch with kazoo. sent all pms and info. tried emailing the addy he used but it has such been deactivated so i just get emails back telling me the mail is undeliverable. As far as credability is concered he seemed credible. Member over a year so he obviously didnt try to rush to post in for sale. People can get that done in a month or less. I read some previous posts he made and seemed helpful and wanting to stick around. Gave him benefit of doubt like I have many around here. Never been burned before. Now I have and now I will make sure it will never happen again. No more m.o.'s. No more dealing with someone without heat. No more trusting anyone unless I can see from others on the forum the person is going to stay for awhile and has made deals with others and gone through those deals with no problems.

Many people at XS are trustworthy, it's sad to see this issue coming more frequently though :(
The idea about phone number is a good one, IMO.

Well post where he lives and find someone on the forums who's close to him who would pay a little visit. We do that on EOCF and Bartertown whenever there's a problem. Nothing like a few guys showing up to meet you who want product or money.

If you've got a couple guys showing up saying, hey you need to ship that stuff now. well...chances are they might at least consider it.

I too have just been burned from this guy on my X800XT video card. I am already starting to stir up the crap with this guy and will do what is necessary to either get my money or the item back. 3rd-dimension I am sorry you got burned but at least you are not alone. Imagine how I feel about my $600 (canadian) video card being taken. If you need any info on this guy please let me know. I am sure we can help eachother. I know him by face as he has been by my house a few times in April. Hope we can help each other out.
