My friend has a travel 8100 with a 2ghz CPU. But he want more and there“s allways the overclock ability - But then again we dont want to mess with registers -
Has there been made any bios / overclock friendly program yet that contains and has the ability to overclock Centrino / Dothan cpu“s?

Doesn't work for the Dell 9300... what to do? :(

How well does it work for you? After about 7 MHz increase, no matter the multiplier or voltage, it always becomes unstable and soon freezes. Abo and I are currently shooting emails back and forth; we're trying to create a SetFSB more friendly for the Travelmate 8100.

Its works as well as you did = barely none :)

We got down to aprox 38sec almost hitting 37sec on default speed.

The SetFSB I'm currently testing for abo doesn't do much better. When I get my Travelmate up and running again (I took it apart and am now having some hardware issues beyond my scope of knowledge) I'll test it more, but until then I have a laptop that is in pieces.

Voiding the warrenty really sucks, cause then if it does have to get fixed you don't know where to get it fixed at. :(
