View Full Version : XP-120 + Asaka 120 @ 1400 rpm ... are my temps normal?
Hi
I have XP-120 (I have used artic silver 5) with an Akasa Ultra Quite (120 mm) @ 1400 rpm (plus 5 case fans). Ambient temp. is about 31/32c (yes, it's just arrived hot weather in Italy :help: ). Winchester 3000+ @ 2400 mhz (300x8) 1.55V.
idle: 37/38c
load (prime large fft): 49c
are these temps normal?
Thx ;)

Yes & you need a more powerful fan. :stick:

Uhm ... I don't know ... I'd try but I haven't a powerful fan
I have tried to reverse 120 mm fan but without differences ...
Here the tests using an air conditioner: http://xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?p=887317#post887317 :D
So do you think those are normal temps considering voltage, ambient temp and fan rpm?

Yeah, looks fine to me. If you get ahold of a faster fan, it might be worth it, but you seem to be doing well right now :toast:

With XP-120 .. which is the right direction for 120 mm? Towards cpu or towards lateral panel? I have tried both setups without differences

Your temps are OK do not worry.
But do not increase Vcore... :)
Any mainboard shows different temps....
Try to increase fan's revolutions...

The Akasa fan is at max. RPM already ;) ... the temps are ok, you have nothing to worry about.

those are good temps for that ambient temp you have there you should be happy
remember ambient is directly related to cpu temp so if its 20c in your room expect to see your cpu drop 18c if its 38c there now so it would be about 31c cpu temp
Thx too all :)
Effectively there are 24/25c today: my temps are 32/33 in idle (after about two hours at 300x8 1.55V)
XP-120 rocks, and Akasa 120 mm too (which is really silent @ 14000 rpm) :toast:
