I'm buying a brandnew A64 setup to replace my old XP 1700+ (DLT3C baby ;) )

I'm planning on getting 1x Leadtek 6600 GT Extreme Edition atm, but I'm gonna buy another one around x-mas I think.

Now what I've heard if you put 2 cards in SLI they need to be exactly the same.

So if I make sure they have the same bios before I put them in SLI there won't be a problem or are there other factors that I should think about?

Leadtek 6600 GT Extreme Edition combined with regular Leadtek 6600 GT = no go prolly because they use other mem chips?

6800 GT is to expensive 4 my budget and since I'm not a hardcore gamer it would be stupid to spend that much money on a card I don't really need.

if you arent a hardcore gamer just get a nice single card solution.

yeah, but an SLI setup looks so PIMP in your rig @ a lanparty :)

but that's beside the question, I just wanna know if it's going to work when both cards have the same bios or are there other things (hardware side) I need to take care abbout?

who cares how it looks, if you wont fully utilize it your money would be better spent elsewhere.

To answer ur question yes it'll probably work, but 2x6600 is completely stupid, it costs more than a 6800 GT (you can get one for 300$ if you look) and will be slower, don't do
