oh i agree but slayers probably the best known of the heavier metal genra, right now my favorite band is probably Dying Fetus, the sickness of the lyrics scares most away from actually listening to them, but they are pretty damn good

ha! i understand every lyric by pantera, if you want to trash metal, say a band such as Cannibal Corpse sucks, its almost impossible to understand what they're saying, but yeah there is lyrics to the songs

btw i do like cannibal corpse, mostly earlier chris barnes stuff

EDIT: on second thought, if I think back to that time in life... which is no easy feat... I think I saw Slayer play with VENOM in 1985, too.

They've never been my favorites, but they're still OK.

I'll be seeing them live in about 4 weeks, at the Graspop festival here in Belgium.
