this seems to be the chip i was talking about when i mentioned a 2ghz 90nm low power, high-ish ipc cpu from via in the via-in-s479 thread a while back.
apparently, its not even using a socket, just straight soldering to the board. but i wonder, what video card was that cpu running and what was that p-m running to get those 3dmark graphs. if a 1.5ghz p-m uses 27w, and the via uses 20, i'd say the chips are about the same speed in 3dmark01, just the via runs cooler. it would be interesting to play with one of these

hmmm but those numbers are from via, i wouldnt really trust them...
i dont think they managed to get their chip almost as fast as a pentium m with only 128kb l2 cache... hmmm but then again the 164 chips with 128kb l2 cache arent that much slower compared to the 512kb or 1024kb L2 cache a64s... hmmm
