when i run 3dmark, overclocked or not, it locks up and reboots. when windows starts back up it says the error was caused by the integrated graphics. prime95 is stable all the way up to 1.9GHz

i've got the newest intel inf, graphics and ide drivers installed. i haven't updated the bios yet, but it is my next step. pci/agp lock is enabled also.

i'm running windows xp, 256MB PC2100 Crucial(running at spd timings), i'm using the onboard video, sound and lan.

i've already sent an email to epox, but until then, anyone have any ideas?

thanks for your replies.

*edit* ok, i may have fixed it by raising the vmem to 2.8v. could this have caused problems with the onboard graphics?

The vmem should not effect the AGP, But you were at stock speed and failing. Try different RAM, 1 chip, different ram slot, before you swap out mobo or CPU.

unfortunatly it's the only DDR i own. i'll try swapping slots if the problem shows up again.

it's strange, i tried running the memory at 1:1 and the fsb at 110, so the memory was at running at 110x2. i still got a reboot on 3dmark, but prime95 ran for 2 hours.

after i raised the vmem it would loop 3dmark while prime95 and folding were running just fine. possably the vmem is also the voltage to the northbridge(remember, i'm using the integrated graphics)?

also, what is the stock voltage for Crucial PC2100 memory?

If I remeber currectly from my reading about thi board there is conflict between the I845G chipset drivers and the Nvidia driver, try another verion and look in aoa forums for more info.

nvidia driver? i'm using the integrated graphics, remember. :p

anyway, i think i fixed it by upping the voltage on the memory and running it at a lower speed. it's been stable for a couple hours now at 1955MHz, but the ram is only at 230MHz.

memory bandwidth isn't important for folding, right?
