I am trying to mod mb, according this (http://www.thelab.gr/reviews/ic7mods_en1.php) guide.
In that guide in vdimm mod it's said to remove transistor (circled in picture below) , but i read in that (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=28553&highlight=abit+ic7) thread, that some people who removed it, had problems with booting.
is it necessary to remove it or not?

And there is a little question about trimmers i am not sure about it, on how much resistence have to be set when i solder them on.
thx for help.

Yes, that transistor has to be removed, but you should only select up to 2.8v max for vdimm in the BIOS. Never more than that.
Trimmer should be set at 0ohms to start.

Most of the vmods you start at max resistance on the trimmer, but there are a few mods like the IC7's vdimm, vtt, vagp mods, that you start at min resistance.
Ppl sometimes get confused with that or just don't know what's going on. So, I guess you were talking to a few of them.:)

I have another question :D
[B]First of all you HAVE to lock the AGP/PCI at 75/37MHz.........In this way you will NOT be able to "see" any SATA HD on your system IF you have placed them on the Intel's SATA Southbridge.......You have to place them in another SATA controler......IF it's a IC7-G one or Max3 you can place them onto the Silicon Image SATA controler......It can handle and work up to 41MHz PCI - tested - ........Second you HAVE to uper your VAGP voltage at it's max.....Third try with 3:2 multi........The worst IC7 mobo did 295MHz fsb at 5:4 and the best did 315MHz at 5:4.........

My question is about SATA drivers, I have two WD200gb SATA disks in RAID 0(currently on P4C800 Del) , according to hipro5, i have to connect disks to connectors circles purple and not connectors circled red, cause they are from SB.
And how is with RAID, will it be recognized by this mobo if it was created on P4C800 Del?
