i need absolutely the cheapestttttt domain provider. I dont care about email accounts or size of storage or anything like that. All i need to do is buy a domain name and then have it point that to another website that i own, so just domain forwarding thats it.
whats the chepest place i can get this, im looking for something that costs a few bucks (~$5)

I buy from www.registerfly.com $9 .com domains last time i checked. I own 6 registered .com domains. They are a great registrar. No dns but you can get that free from www.everydns.net

I second fatfreepork ;)
Plus I'm his host and I setup his domains. Registerfly is really good but does not come with DNS. The DNS problem can be solved at www.everydns.net.
Everydns is the best service known to mankind.

www.oneandone.co.uk is cheap if you want .co.uk names, 1.99UKP per year, plus VAT if you're in UK, min 2 Yrs. DNS Included, as well as Domain Masking.
I use them (and have Hosting from them as well), Very minor problems (Usually me being a Dumbass, or wanting weird things to do with MIME types)
Highly Reccomended
