Well I been benching my system all day and seem to have it fairly stable at 265FSB at 5:4 2.5-2-2-4. But now i just plugged in speakers for first time in over 8 months and no sound. I reinstalled drivers. checked that it is on in bios and it recognizes that i am plugging in speakers...ie Soundmax knows when i am plugging and unplugging speakers. tried all vol controls and nothing is muted or anything, seems some how i am missing something or sound card got screwed up when being modded(Along with allot of other :banana::banana::banana: that happened when board was modded by a member) Anyone have any ideas or seen this happen on this MB before. Is there a setting to change to digital output or analog somewhere, i am running analog speakers just wondering if there is something im missing or just the onboard sound is dead?

Thanks in advance for any help

I know a guy with a P4P800E who killed his onboard sound. I think it was cuz he didn't lock the agp/pci @ 66.66/33.33, but then I think again and would that matter? All I know is that he didn't lock it and sent his FSB to over 230 and then BAM! No sound. Sorry to hear about that. :(

Where's the guide u followed to mod ur PSU by the way ;)

With the amount of reboots ive done today, i prob did fry the sound card. Guess a new audigy be nice anyway. i could have bought a new car for the price this computer is ending up costing me in time and money.

I had it done by hell-fire, he has a long detailed how to up awhile ago. i think its still up somewhere.

Found it.

Hey thank you for the link, I just found that shortly after posting the question in here. I'm sorry to hear about the bad luck you've had with your system, I read through the whole topic about how he had it for 6 months and the whole lot. It's a shame :( Good luck and happy modding in the future though :D
