Hi :

I'm lookin for a pci-x card. I could buy an eVga 6800GT for about 500$CDN and for ATI X800 XL we'r lookin around 470$. Connect3D X800 XL is around 400$. I'm willing to overclock the card and play future games like BF2 and callofduty2, etc. Which one of these cards would u choose? if lets say you could afford the 100$ difference but if the performance is close and only a 3fps difference then you rather buy the cheaper one...

Everyone seems to say X800XL. For me the choice was a lot easier. I picked up a full retail BFG 6800GT OC (with Doom 3 and Farcry) for a XP-120 trade + $235 :D

Definitely go with the 6800GT. It can OC to Ultra speeds and has many other things like PS3 support.

my personal preference would be the X800XL. better bang for your buck IMO and it's on par with the 6800GT.

6800GT 800XL comes only on pair in benchmark in some games, while GT beats it in most. And the 800XL stock fan is damn loud too what I've heard. If u go for 6800GT go for Leadteks custom copper version fan that should be able to handle ultra clocks and if u for some reason still wanna go for 800XL be sure to put a Zalman VF700 on it for example.
