Well I finally got all my voltages where I wanted em and installed my 3.0E Prescott SL7PM today, booted at 250FSB and ran for hours on prime 95 at 1.40Volts. So I kicked it to 260FSB and its still going, running CPU Burn-in v1.01 and Prime 95 Torture Test, been going good with temps never higher then 52C yet, still only at 1.40Volts with I am running a ratio, just to get an idea of how the cpu is doing, so i dont know if cas 2 will be possible at 1:1(almost definetly not, but if i bump up voltage to mem i might run cas 2.5 at 1:1. Thanks for all your help guys, i am real happy with this chip and my temps seem great at 52C. Let me know what you think, wonder if i can hit 4.1 - 4.2???? This is running out of case, so temps will get aw little higher once in a case, but still seems good.

I'd venture to guess (based on what mine does), that you'll get about 4.2 on air. Maybe not completely stable, but it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I know mine can do much more than it can do because of the Max3's VTT problems. You should be in a much better situation. Looking good.

I'm running the same cpu with 255 FSB and 1.5v vcore, on air. I wonder why I have to up the vcore so much farther than you? Nice OC ;)

all of the e0's clock about the same.

;)
i say 4.1 will be possible. 4.2 if u have a really good chip and good cooling
as for how many volts u pump in, all i can say keep it to about 1.5v on air.

i have a p4p800-e deluxe, what do you guys think i could get with this board and droop mod? about the same as you guys? i want a 4+ghz cpu all the time under my watercooling stable.

yes i think it would be.

do these cpus hit 4ghz very commonly? thats mainly what im wondering, i bought a 3.2 before and it wouldnt oc worth anything, guess a bad stepping.

Lets put it this way.

Never heard of a bad E0 so far ;)
or a bad SL7PM ;)

I know mine does 270 pretty ez, only 1.475V too. Only thing is my memory is limited to bout 250 so im doing some benching to see if i'm better at 270 @ 5:4 or 250 @ 1:1. Working at 250FSB @ 1:1 and getting the timings down slowly. at 250 1:1 I'm running Cas 3-3-2-4-5 which aint too b ad, putting my at around 6000 on Sandra memory bandwidth. I'm getting there it just takes some time to make sure its stable. I like to run prime for about 10 hours to prove that its stable.

HELP

Well now I'm screwed, man this computer is gonna be the death of me. Well Here is what happened. I been benching it for past few days and getting good results, Well today, I left house for few hours and left prime95 running, when i came back it was locked up(No Video). I figured well I'll just shut off power and she will reboot as the only thing i changed from yesterday where i ran prime for 12 hours was the to lower one of the memory timings from 3 to 2 and see if shed run stable. Well I get back after its been running bout 3 hours max and no video. Well I tried a different CPU to make sure it wasn't dead and same thing no video. Tried different memory, same thing no go. So i take out vid card and put in another computer i have and no video, so im like cool, time to get rid of this ti4200 anyway and i was off to Best Buy to get a BFG 6800GT. Well before I left I decided I would try another video card from my dad's computer and well u guess it, no video, exact same card too, ti4200. So I pull his card out and put it in my rig and no video either. So I'm like :banana::banana::banana:, what the hell could it be. Well as I have been very careful working with this board and doing everything with a MM, I had been checking the VAGP voltage on the board with a MM and with it set at 1.50 in bios, it read 1.64 on the board, no matter how much i turned it down on the pot. So i left it at 1.50 in bios and as i said it read 1.64 on board. Well now I check it and it reads .95 and it aint workin. Did I fry the AGP slot? I don't have a PCI video card to check and see, but i think that is what happened. I guess I need to get a pci video card first off and see what that does, but is it possible I fried the AGP slot. I cleared the CMOS and have turned all the voltages on everything all the way down, but damn could 1.64 volts kill an AGP slot?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I'm at my witts end, thing is I was gonna close this thing up tonight as it was running great, stable and cool, was running CPU voltage at the minimum setting in bios and still getting 250FSB stable.

When you started to oc did you make sure that agp/pci was locked @ 66.66/33.33? If not then yes you fried your slot probably. Now when you cleared the cmos do you get anything upon reboot?

Yes I had it locked at 66/33. no when i cleared the cmos same thing, she turns on but no video and i dont think shes booting to windows cause i would see it sign on AOL. Somehow the damn slot must be fried, this sucks, all in all this board has cost me 300 bucks.

Try checking all over the board, southbridge, mosfets, chipset etc... Look for bubbles, burn marks or some other sort of damage. Maybe it's a replaceable chip or something.
