How much can one bend the tube on a Mach 2?

The reason I ask is that since upgrading to a 64 system the tube running to the processor sticks out by a good few inches outside of the case. My old processor was mounted way higher up on the board whereas on this mobo (DFI NF4) the socket is bang smach in the middle of the board so much lower down.

The problem is that the tube's quite stiff and I'm worried that if I force it down it could damage itself or it could lose performance.

Not such a easy question to answer, tecnically to find the "minimum radius bend" you must first must know the tube diameter, wall thickness, compasistion and type of construction then you can either calculate the min. bend or referance a pipe/tubing bending chart......In your case experience ,and "feel" is want you must go by so not to kink the tube. If you know the listed parameters you can get a idea of how "tight" your bend can be.

is you use a pipe bender you can make preety tight bends...

if you need to make them even tighter you have to fill the pipe with sand, heat it up and bend

this goes for stiff copper lines...

the mach2 has a preety good flex line and should stand almost any abuse exept when you bend the pipe near the cooling head where the weld sits

i don't think he can fill it with sand as its a gas filled closed mach2 system. use pipe benders, if you can pull back the insulation that would be good to see what's happening while bending. don't try to bend with the insulation covering the pipe because you cant see what is going on and you may kink or reduce the ID significantly.
