First why do i want to up the AGP Voltage:
The motherboard i use raises Chipset and AGP voltage with the same bios setting. I need 1.65v set to have my RAM stable at 285mhz.

I do know that BFG for example suggested to use 1.6v for stability so i guess 1.65v are no problem. How about 1.65 or even 1.7v?

Wll that fry the card?

1.98 is good for Intel systems.

On Intel 865/875 chipsets, the vagp also increases the n/b voltage, which can help with stability. Not sure about A64 systems though.

It does trhe very same on the Neo2 i think. I am only worried if 1.65v will kill my graphics card over time. It's a 10% increase of voltage for the AGP slot.

i hope somebody answers this good

I never, ever, never, ever never ever never ever never ever mmm.... take a break, ever never ever increase my AGP voltage no matter how hard my system is overclocked, nor overclocking the video card. I was able to get some top orb scores with the GF3 cards and R9800 cards with the AGP running at default. I have never, ever, never ever never ever never saw any stability increase by increasing the agp voltage... made zero difference if not get worse.

you want to oc the vid card further, perform the actual vmod on the card, and apply better cooling.

do you even read threads? :stick:

He needs the voltage to keep his motherboard stable at high mem speeds, but is wondering if it will have adverse effects on his graphics card.

I'd say 1.65v should be fine :p: since nearly every component in a computer is specced for +/-10%

it's perfectly safe, no worries.
