My last set of questions. I am serious now.

Hello again. Hope your having a great day because i am not. Anways on witht he questions.

I shall have 450$ to build a phase. Before you go wow, 450$ for it, that includes all the tools. How much $ should i set aside for tools? All i have is a torch. I know what i need, just not exactly sure on a couple things.

I will need a vacuum but i heard i can use a compressor instead. Is that true? If so, how big does the compressor have to be and is it wise to use a compressor?

I see the gauges when charging and stuff, high and low side. How do i know what the #'s are supposed to be? Will i find that out reading further into the refrigeration stuff or you just tell me?

What is the best gas i can get my hands on without a license?

How much should i set aside for the actual phase? I can grab some more if NEEDED.

Lastly, i was unable to find the thread with all the places to get a lot of things. Can someone direct me? EDIT-Got it!

Heh, I have 150 dollars to start getting all my stuff. You got a nice size budget. There was a thread not long ago, a few days old, on where to get stuff.

You can use a compressor to vaccuum a system. I do not know if it is the best idea though.

I believe the only gas you can get without a license is propane.

Yeah, I am looking into other alternatives than propane. Im 16, and of course I live with parents. I doubt a propane system with propane under pressure would go over well with them... I suggest attempting to get certified. Search google. Theres an online test for like 24 bucks, and then drop like 65 of your 450 on a 30 lb cylinder of r22 or something.

I think it's safe to say about 0 psi on low side and between 140 and 200 for high side.it will depends on your condenser and ambiant temp. A good condenser + fan combo should give you output temps of room ambiant temperature.

I thought you said in one of your other threads that you would have your phase in a couple of days ... that was more like a couple of weeks ago.
