Ok, a total newbie here, who is building their first system. My case has a fan in the top of it ( directly infront of the power supply ), which im pretty sure should be directing the air OUT of the case. My case also has a fan in the front of the case, which im pretty sure should be sucking air INTO the case and over the hard drives. There is also a fan on the left hand case panel, which has the fan sucking the air OUT of the case . Now here is my question... i am installing a 120mm fan on the back inside cover of the case ( this fan will sit very close to where the cpu fan will be at. Should this 120mm fan be blowing air INTO the case ( and over the motherboard and cpu ), or expelling it out of the case??? Also, i will be installing a powersupply with two large fans on it ( i haven't received the power supply yet ), but im guessing that the bottom fan will be sucking the air away from the cpu, up through and over the power supply components, and then out the back of the computer. As you can see, i don't know which way the air should be flowing inside the case.... and i surely dont want to make the mistake of fans working against each other. Any help would be appreciated.

it's always best to intake air from the front and push it out to the back. if you hve a fan blowing in from the front and back the hot air will stay in the case at the midpoint i think.

you could have the top, front, and side all in with only the PSU and 120mm for the rear as out.

The important part about airflow is have it balanced reasonably and do not suck hot air from where it just exited.
