The air temp was about ~5C, and the CPU idled at about 22C. Sangboy, get ready for a new benching session tonight, mate ;)
heh,chilly1's ln2 look alike containers are already in productions.
Charlie its a great OC,an wonderfull example for all of us,,but his 3800mhz achivements are doable with the same determination and a little skill.His mistake in that exp. was the overkill cpu block size and no insulation of it,regardless of the excellent dielectric oil.

yeah,i remember that s7e9h3n:initialy i was looking to buy a cheaper diego core but after you guys discovered his annoying "cold bug",i turned to ol' trusty FX class.And i have no regrets at all
And i think this stepping its a little better than 0442 gpmw.Anyway,ln2 will tell the truth.

It's very nice for aircooling but don't expect 4ghz already. Chips that were bad with aircooling have gotten records at temps far below zero and chips that were very good with air just sucked with phase change. Looks good so far though.

u're right,my friend.this is lesson 1 in cpu volt/cooling/freq scalling :)
on normal air-stock box cooler+stock fan,this baby does only 2.75mhz prime stable.Temps skyrocket..

His particular stepping is the same as Ricky & Pedro's 4G cpu and another 0441EPMW held the WR for a short while even before that. BTW, I don't think he mentioned trying for 4g, but there are only a few steppings which may be capable of it. This is one of them, especially on LN2.

with that cold room temp offcourse your temps are gonna be much lower...
@alexio: you theory?? okay some cpu's have a coldbug or just clock bad but when you've got a good clocker on air it's a bad clocker under a phase change??
don't really believe it.

You know, after reading his post again, he is correct to a certain degree. It's just that his statement is incorrect in terms of the levels of cooling. :p: It should read:
"There are some cpu's which are average clockers when put under single stage phase-change cooling, but they're monsters when put under a cascade. But there are also cpu's which clock above average with single stage phase-change, but when put under a cascade, they don't do nearly as well."
There, that sounds better ;)

I'm thinking it might be. Only Newark could keep up with FX's on air, and thats a little bit higher than the max Newark suicide WR.
