I dont know why but It shows no picture when I plug in the white dvi cable. Do i have to disable the analog port and enable dvi or something? I messed around in advanced tab of settings for my video card (x800xl) and my montior 19" sceptre dvd. I really would like to get this working im getting really bad ghosting with this monitor and want to see if this improves it. I know some nvidia cards the port doesnt work is that the case with my rosewill x800xl also? any ideas I aprecieate.

hmmmm what monitor do you use?
my roomate has a similar problem, if he uses his dvi output his lcd freaks out and shows a very weird corrupted image...
no idea tbh... make sure the cable is ok and try with a different monitor if possible... and if that doesnt help then theres still your avatar :D

I'm running a 30 inch LCD tv off my cards and it works like a charm. My monitor allows switching between analogue or digital input (both through the DVI cable). My neighbour has a pair of Shuttle 17 inch LCDs and they automatically switch input for you.
what I do find with my 30 incher is that it often comes up blank when I start up. It sometimes boots with an analogue out through the DVI cord and sometimes it boots with digital. Very odd. It only did this on my 6800u. The 4800se and r9250 that I've recently been using don't have this issue. Digital always takes over once the Windows GUI is loaded.
Fiddle around with the buttons on your screen and see if you can switch inputs.

THanks a lot! I never would have thought to enable dvi with the buttons on the monitor..
