I have a single stage that i tore down while back. Been waiting to get another evap on it. So i've decided to turn this machine into a GPU cooler and northbridge cooler for when we go double extreme cooling. Will be putting either 502 or 404 in the unit.

The chilly1 chipset micro block is very small and don't take it the wrong way when i say its "cute."

When i get the single stage assembled i will test it out on some GPU's and should have a dothan to test with also. And just for the hell of it, i will be testing it out on a 560J too.

Pics below and enjoy, the block iteslf is just a hair larger than a quarter, which you can see pictured (God bless NY).

I'll be abusing a AS8 northbridge and x800pro flashed to XT PE soon with this cooler.

Is this block made by chilly1 himself? Or is it a knockoff of his standard design that you made smaller?

Something like this would be nice for a gpu. To help save space for more pci cards under the video card.

Looking forward to seeing its cooling potential.

I got a bunch of the smaller ones they are 1 inch tall and 1 inch in diameter.

One of these little fellers should still pull a whole video card down into the negatives like its bigger brother?

Thats nice mounting blocks. How many watts are you thinking your chipset will dissipate and how long is your cap size ?

It's 0.028" @ 108" (will be a little colder and hold the smaller load *hopefully)

Ok, after talking with chilly1 some. These are some rough idea's of what it will handle at various pressures.

6 inches vacuum w/ load @ ~80-100w (-55 to -58 C)
3 inches vacuum w/ load @ ~140w
3 psi on suction w/ load @ ~250w

I'm not to sure what heat output the northbridge (865PE) would put out. Will find out when i get it going though.

Actually this block should have simmilar temperature charestics to its larger cousin. The surface area inside is 1/2 and it should be capable of 300 watts, the delta will increase as does the load. at 300 watts the calculated delta between evaporating temperature and face temp is gonna be 20 to 30 degrees at 1 psi R507 the same load with the Bigger block is 15 to 18. This is an extrapolation from the temperature data I have been getting.

I found around the same temps for the large one.

With the sensor in de side of the bottom, i meassure around 10c higher than suction line @ 180w load.

Thats about right and is charge dependant. IF you riun the load hight you will see that it will roll off.

Please put your question in a PM to Chilly1 :fact:

I've got one of those "cute" little block myself. They are super!! :woot: :woot:
