help needed

hey, i accidently set my ram freq to 333 when its only 266 freq old 512mb ram
it boots up, but monitor cant find it, and hdd starts to make weird noises, i tryed clearing cmos but didint work

any idea's would be much apreacheated

take the battry out,
turn power off,
leave off couple of mins.
