a xp-120 heatsink? im planning on updating the cpu soon and switching cases with wc, so need to know how to get this dman thing off.

I would say warm the cpu with prime or another burning soft the max you can and as fast as you can try to remove heatsink with little moves left-right and pull (warmth-heat would decrease the paste (sticky) effect)
Be carefull with pins ...

with a blowdryer heat the xp120

Yea warm the pc up for 2 mins then take off while twisting left and right. My xp90 ripped the chip out of the socket once as the as5 sorta welded it together.

after you get the cpu out, if it comes with the heat sink SLIDE IT OFF with your index finger, and have the cpu land on a soft object such as couch or pillow

i have couple of incident wen taking out the sink n my proc follow up..bend a few pins but nth serious
izzit too much thermal paste cause it to stick together?
