I am looking for some input from those that have OCZ plat rev 2 and a diego or venice CPU.

I have spent countless hours (you don’t even want to know how many) trying to get a stable OC with my RAM above stock speed, but it just doesn’t work. The CPU is stable at 2805Mhz, I have now 12 hours blend, 12 hours small FFT, 5+ runs of 32M, and 10 hours of 3dmark 01 looping, and about 5 hours of EQ2 - all at 200Mhz. So I would say the CPU is stable.

The problem is that I can’t get past an hour of Blend testing with my RAM at 255Mhz (x11 - 1:1). I have tried 2.6-3.1v, and have tweaked every timing possible. I know for a fact the same RAM did 255 @ 2.5-3-3-5 fine with my Newcastle CPU, it did for months and I could do 283Mhz with 2.5-4-3-5. Now I cant even get 2.5-4-4-5 to be stable. I can get it to run a 32M superPI (if im lucky) for screenshots but if it can’t pass a blend test its useless to me. I use this rig for work, occasional gaming, and as a media center, I need total stability.

I have also tried a bunch of BIOS with the same results. 0510-3, 0414-3, 0414-1, 0310, 0218.

It's not heat related, I have a 120mm Panaflo on the RAM. Its not my OS, I just did a fresh install. Does my mem controller absolutely hate my TCCD? Has anyone else had similar problems with the 3200EL Rev2? I really hate to have to go buy new RAM to feed my OCing addiction :P

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Try to put 750 for memory to use in Blend. That is because too much memory been used by Windows and the test is using the HD that is slower and that is why u get errors. I think that Blend uses 900+ default for that test, that is too much imo.

Try to stay in the 2.6v-2.9v range with TCCD. Rarely ppl using 3.0v+ with TCCD.

Hmm, never tried that before, I will give it a shot tonight. I also haven't tried the yellow slots yet, I can give those a try as well. Thanks.

I was adding more volts because the more I added, the longer Blend would go. I didn't actually set the BIOS to 3.1v but the DFIs overvolt RAM anyway so I estimated 3.1v.
