The subject of putting a Phase cooler in a case has come up to me time and time again...

I seen a simular case in the Phase gallery.

It is a LianLi with 6 x 5.25'' bays and 3 x 3.5'' bays

So I dug out a 1/2hp Tecumseh and am doing a mock-up.

Any suggestions will be happily accepted...

This is probably stupid, but...

Couldn't you put the compressor on its side by mounting it to a L shaped piece of metal (for shock absorption) or just bolting it sideways to the inside of the case so that the wire connections are facing up inside the case and wouldn't be projecting outside of it?

Compressors have a internal lubracation system, they must be mounted with the base plate down.

That condensor looks quite small, do you know it's heat rating? Might be something to look into.

Indeed it is small, i recieved one just like it in the mail today!

I need to buy a couple more of these for future projects before they run out!

I was skeptical at first too but they work xcellent...
they have mounts already for a 120mm fan and are certianly capable of producing mid to high -40's loaded with an R22/R290 blend... ;)

nice.
if ya do some subcooling calculations will tell ya if condenser is too small
ya want about subcooling of 5 to 8 degF.
for more information check this out.

im guessing that compressor is a matsu:banana::banana::banana::banana:a compressor, nice cheap little compressors those.
they make nice little coolers and use little power
