Hi... I am trying to max out my sc400 with P4 2.8 HT, 1 GB DDR and on the way 6600GT for gaming. Is it possible to overclock the P4, if so how and how much? Thanks!

welcome to XtremeSystems :toast:
this thread doesnt really belong in the xtreme overclocking section wich is for xtreme overclocking topics only, i moved your thread to the intel section wich is for all intel system related and basic intel overclocking related topics :)
yes its possible to oc your cpu, increase the fsb step by step and test your systems stability using prime95 or 3dmark2005. please post your system specs and settings as well as temperatures in idle and under load :)

Hmm, I got mine up to 3.5 before I got tired of messing with it, though mine's a 30 capper. Maybe it could have gone higher, but for my uses it was fine.

Someone told me I could change the FSB setting in bios, but i couldnt... how do u oc the 2.8 ghz HT 800FSB to 3.0 or more? and is getting it up to 3.5 safe? I dont want to mess with it too much, I jus wanna maximize my speed for what I have without melting anything

Whoa...those questions are FAR too fundemental...we'd have to start an oc guide just to explain everything. My advice, search Google for "Overclocking Guide" Look through the stuff, make yourself familiar with your bios and how it compares with the bios in those guides, then you can comeback and ask us about OC options in your specific motherboard :)
