Welcome to XS :toast:
That would be a very good start into phase change cooling. You also might want to send pc_ice a PM on here and learn more about his single stage units he builds. Some of pc_ice's work can be found here. (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=61662)
Goodluck with whatever you choose :toast:
well i started with prommi but if you're a beginner BUY AN ORGINAL SOCKEL KIT :D
it will take you lots of time to make your first own sockel kit including isolation and everything.
i had so many probs because of the missing socket kit I wouldn't save the money again.
maybe you're better than me, but this is what i, as a "fresh" one, would recommend you ;)

the link you posted at the very beginning - it is a mach with a sockelkit included.

but looks little bit expensive...in austria there was a shop offering the same for ~600€ including delivering charge.

anyone know a list of compatible cases or can they all be outfited to use this (preferably a full-tower)
well there compatible to most atx midi and big towers with normal specs.
Cases like LianLi PC71 are 1cm wider and ~20cm longer than the case of the Unit for example.
