I have a brand new Electrolux MR22FB compressor and am about to start brazing my system together. Before i start though i want to make sure i have everything.

Does anyone know the sizes of discharge, suction and service ports on it? I don't really want to take out the rubber bungs till i'm ready to braze. To me they look like 3/8" discharge 1/2" suction and 5/8" service. Does that sound about right?

The service port looks huge, will i have any problems crimping this around my service valve for brazing?

Thanks for your help with this

1 Suction 12,7mm
2 Service 9.6mm
3 Discharge 8.0mm

edit: these are internal diameters. Crimping the service port shouldn't be a problem.

I wouldn't crimp the ports.. I would take some copper pieces and step down the pipe size.

There is nothing wrong with crimping pipe to fit a smaller pipe, but the ports on the compressor aren't soft copper and they won't crimp easily. You could end up cracking a port by trying to crimp it.

Not probably - but possibly. :p:
