d2ol on win 2003 x64 bit ?

hi, jest get a new system here that based on asus nf 4 and amd 64bit 2.2ghz' it will use for d2ol most of the time .
i know that d2ol is not 64bit application, but it will be a difference ( im mean more results) when 3dol install on xp/2003 or xp/2003 64bit. ?

I tried to install the D2OL client today on 2003 x64 and it didn't work, it hangs up when it says it's installing the uninstaller.

Any workarounds?

xp pro 64 bit works, ive never checked performance increases though

possibly try to just install it on another machine, and then put the folder on a USB drive or something. then move the folder over to the 64 bit 2003 server computer. it might just be the installer thats screwing up, because running it in a 64bit OS does work.

ill try to remember to do that tomorrow if you want me to whenever i go on campus, im stuck on 56k right now for 1 more month. i have no idea the actual folder will be, im going to try to install it w/out registering it, so you can still use your email address and have your own node number.

if you have anywhere you want me to send it to, let me know in PM. right now its in a 12.5mb rar file, not bad considering it was over 35mb after install. ill try to upload it to my university webspace if i have the time for it tomorrow. then maybe PM you a link to it, but if not ill have to figure out a way to email it to you.

i think its acxtually slower in xp64bit because its running through the wow64 translation, no?

i wonder why there are no 64bit f@h or d2ol versions :confused:
those are all apps that should benefit a lot from 64bit id assume...

Not sure. I think if ANYONE would have a 64bit edition it would be f@h, back in its day it was like the biggest thing ever. If u check some of the old threads in the d2ol forums, there was something about making a 64-bit client (I think).
