Sparkle 6200 bios mod to Sparkle 6600gt 620/700

My graphics card is sparkle 6200 and it's flashed with 6600gt bios , when I select 6600gt id in rivatuner it scores 25k.. :toast:
if I select 6600 id it scores 24500 and with 6200 id it scores 22500 :D
How can I display the graphics card to windows as 6200, by using 6600gt id

well m8, this is called cheating ...
if u run it as a 6600gt then it's a 6600gt - still this is a very very nice score - so why would u want to mess with the card id and other stuff like that ... ?

Awesome work! Could you post the Bios you used and/or instructions on how you flashed? I'm assuming that you had to lower alter speeds/timings, if so, what'd you change it to?

- uninstall your VGA driver...
- Edit the driver you wish to use
- open nv4_disp.inf with Hexeditor or notepad
- find this string...

Is it really as simple as that ? Nice info if it is, everyones been messing about with either BIOS or rivatuner device id strap ......

What does NVIDIA_BR02.DEV_00F1.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6200" actually mean ? NV43 obvious, what is BR02 ?

I used sparkle 6600 ultra bios 500/700 ... :D and in windows , I installed 6600gt id in riva tuner... restart and install forceware driver..
then.. bingoo... 2k1: 25k... :toast:

I tried it with leadtek 6600 bios also , same result ... :D the bios isn't that much important, the important thing is the card id in riva tuner

I had a feeling it would to be honest because Futuremark has two labels, graphics chipset and graphics driver, changing the inf file normally changes the driver name not the chipset and it is chipset that puts you in the specific class.
The device ID is hardwired into the card, this is why when you try to flash BIOS with nvflash you have to force to it ignore the different device Id by using parameters, ie -4 -5 -6 etc .
I'm actually uncertain whether you got 25k after using rivatuner to change device ID ( that never works for me by the way ) or after you flashed to the 6600GT bios ? If it is rivatuner than you are stuck, if it is the BIOS then flash back to 6600 and use rivatuner ?
Does that work ?

The card would not accept more voltage than 1.45v so the overclock from 685MHz non volt modded was ... 601Mhz only :rolleyes:
I was hoping for 650-700Mhz and 24 500 points or so.
Very strange card. Will wave as you go past :)

strictly speaking its just a standard 6600 as the only difference between that and the GT is DDR3 (which you dont have)

My company is distributor of Leadtek in Vietnam . I tried Leadtek and Gigabyte ( 6600 )... Leadtek wins ! Almost Leadtek PCI-E 6600 can do over 700Mhz ( memory )... ASUS's PCB is good but not sure with 6600 :)... I heard and saw ASUS 6600 can't compare with Leadtek :D :D :D

Leadtek are really good cards, as are Gainward, but Asus are defenitly the worst buy. Usually every ASUS card is $50 bucks more than the others, and they don't have any advantages other than possibly a "better" cooler, but its not worth it. Stick with Leadtek, Chaintech, or Albatron. The Albatron overclocks very high, as does the Chaintech.

My leadtek 6200 flashed fine with Sparkle 6600
For temps use the nhibitor program

İn addition to this i understand that nvidia produce same chips like AMD or İNTEL same core s but different pcb s and different components change their performance..
But some oc maniacs can make a magic and take 25k :D huge home users cant take this points by 6600 gt's maybe 6800 ,,,maybe maybe 6800gt's..

Couldn't you run these in SLI considering the fact that the SLI bridge is not neccesary? I know that it would be needed for best performance, but no bridged SLI cards still do quite well. Has anyone attempted running dual 6200's?
