I screwed up my Asus P4P800-VM...

I modded the bios, but it kept saying checksum invalid. When I tried flashing the original bios the mobo didn't work anymore. No post, no beeps no nothing. The error code on my diagnostics device says: 00

I tried hotflashing the bios in several other mobo's but to no avail, I used a lot of different tools, but the Asus flash program only works on Asus mobo's and I've only got this Asus P4 motherboard. In K7 or K8 Asus mobo's it just won't flash at all. Or say it has flashed and then fail to verify.

I've also tried different bios-chips (it's a standard 512x8 chip) but no luck. Then I tried compiling flash_and_burn onder Linux to see if that would help. Unfortunatly my perticular chip wasn't supported. So I looked up the datasheet and re-wrote part of the program to identify my chip and flash it.

Now I can flash the chip (and verify it on serveral other motherboards so the chip and the program are in working order) but when I try it in my P4P800-VM board it still doesn't work.

What could be the problem? The CPU is also working, I've checked that and tried several different CPU's. Could the mobo be dead? The only reason I can think of is ESD but I work in a ESD safe workplace so I can't imagine that.

Anybody in the Netherlands who could send me a P4P800-VM bios-chip (with working bios). Or a P4P800-VM board so I could hot-flash or test?

Or anybody got a clue as how to fix this?

Update:

bios chip now began smoking after a couple of seconds... it's definitly the bios chip.
