It's the MSI 6800GT PCI Express ones

Thanks

why not just try and clock them to ultra and save those settings to boot up via rivatuna?

Ultra's run on 1.4v. For 1.5v you will need a BIOS editer.

ahh ic...

any idea whether it'll work if i flash a BFG bios or something?

babyelf welcome to my world :P i cant get ultra speeds stable either :(

i can get to 400 and play CSS without problems.. but due to heat issues it locks up after a while..

yep m8y :D its me from EOCF (the one gettin constantly banned :P)

if your locking u in CS:S then obviously it isnt stable but i see what you mean :P i can run 400 in CS:S but due to heat i get lockups occasionaly which only seems to happen when im gettin rushed LOL

heh yea... trying to get some ultra bios i can flash to.. then have 1.4 to my gpu and maybe that'll stabilise it..

corsair cool coming.. bought for 150AUD :D and silverprop HL block coming in another day or 2 at 40AUD :D

so hopefully will get some experts out here to help out here about the bioses.. whether or not it can be flashed then slap the watercooling on it and overclock this baby here :)

y are u getting constantly banned?

i haven't been checking EOCF for a while since i got my parts.. currently going 270 2-2-2-5 3.5V on my bh-5 :) still trying to get it stable.. gonna burn it in
260 2-2-2-5 3.3V prime, memtest, superpi stable

he meant he left his core at 370mhz and memory at ultra speeds

i take it it's a BFG OC

Korpse

yep m8

cooling issue can run 400/1100+ when ifirst boot pc but after a while it becomes unstable :(

so i just run 370/1100 24/7 now

if you cannot get ultra speeds with 1.3V (stock bios), forget it with 1.4V or 1.5V
1.3V should get you 420-435 stable
1.4V -> 460-475
1.5V -> 500
1.6V -> 525

er dude thats kinda off, unless your talking using extreme cooling

seeing as ultras use 1.4v to run 400mhz on the core :stick:

why dont you guys just edit your own bios to run 1.4v thats what i've done on my 6800nu, running 16p/6v with 1.4v at 400mhz :cool:

huh? what do you mean by forget it with 1.4 or 1.5?

i'm thinking of flashing to a different bios.. maybe later on.. still testing my system..

Dude, that's what I got with my GT. 473Mhz on the core with 1.4V bios. Aircooled. Nothing extreme.

I mean that if you cannot get to 400Mhz with 1.3V stable, it is useless to try a 1.4V or 1.5V bios. It will not work.

Btw try some tips from the thread in my sig.

well your wrong there, i cant get 400mhz stable with 1.3v but its stable with 1.4v, thats kinda the whole overclocking procedure for anything, up the speed if its unstable up the voltage :fact:

well.. my watercooling is here.. (corsair cool) and silverprop HL for my 6800GT coming on monday.. so will try whether it's heat related first.. then i'll see how it goes..

i'm gonna have to get a pci card from a friend just in case as well.. so if anything goes wrong i have a backup plan

Just google for 'OmniExtreme' bios editor...

I used it for my GT bios, you just load your stock bios in, adjust the voltage and timings if it can read the timings, some it can't, and it makes you a new bios with the changes, then you flash using whatever flash utility you like...

It's always compatible, which is nice, no forcing...

I found that on my leadtek I couldn't seem to find fully compatible bios's so had to make one, but it worked well...

1.4v might be the max you can use, even with water, I found that the screen would go buggy and lock up when I used 1.5v on the core, but ymmv with that...

The leadtek would only do 390ish on the core with 1.3 and 430ish with 1.4...

I could get 450+ with 1.5v, but it'd lock up within a minute or 2 in 3d...
