Did some rearranging and cleaning up in one of the spare bedrooms. While in there I found a spare monitor ( my buddie scored a bunch of stuff his workplace was tossing, a while ago, and asked me if he could store the stuff in there until the time he and I could go through it )

I was able to make some room. Put up an 8' x 16" board on top of some old cases used for pedestals ( again, from the stuff my buddie scored ).

Net result, I was able to hookup my NCCH-DL and it is once again crunching candidates. Was running out of room and outlets, so when I put Jeff's system together, the "AS" Hammer system and my 3.06/PC-DL system that left the NCCH-DL the odd man out. No more. :D

Next up is the Venice/DFI NF4 system. Got the motherboard near the end of the week. Pretty sure it won't be up today, but its' coming.

Wondering about a PSU. If, at first, I won't be having much in that system in the way of drives, peripherals, etc., will I be able to get by with an Antec TP 430?
The 12V rail is listed @ 20A. The vid card is not high-end, its' a Gigabyte 6600.

Next up? I ordered a PC-DL from ewiz, and it is on its' way.

After that, I'd like to redo the NCCH-DL and this time use the CEK "spring kit" that comes with the Swiftech Nocona adapters, instead of the NCCH's motherboard retention deally. Obviously, I'm also anxious to get those 2.8 Nocona ES's in there, too. Wondering if changing the mounting will make the difference between an iffy setup and a solid rig.

wow, thats insane. Does this mean your daily average will be above 3k, or around 2.5k?

Hell, I don't know. Some days it doesn't even hit 2K. Above 2.5 is definitely a goal for day in and day out.

I had a personal, electrical blackout today, for a bit. I guess with everything going, computer-wise, turning on a high current tube power amp is not a good thing to do. Actually, it was ok for a few hours. Until I plugged in the NCCH-DL. Guess I've been close to the edge for a while...
I know I shut a few machines down whenever I want to use the vacuum
cleaner.

I added two 15A lines into the computer room, about a year ago in order, to alleviate a similar situation. A friend who knows how to do simple electical helped me do that and I just pulled wires through the attic, etc. But I'm thinking the whole service to the house needs to be upgraded. I live in a 33 year old house and the 100A circuit/fuse box thing was probably never intended for the kind of load I put on it. I'm thinking I need a 200A box.

Any electricians here I can talk to?
