but if you want to be lazy... I beleive 6600GT's are a good choice. Balance between, performance, cost and certainly very good to overclock

gainward are probably most fun for tweaking around with, if you get the need for freeze then i suspect Asus 6800u would be the ones (although i think others may have fixed the coldbug by now- not sure, fairly out of touch atm).
I've had the most overclocking success with my leatek 6800nu, got an extra 115mhz from core and 200mhz from memory, unlocked it to 16 pipes and did BIOS voltmodding, all without removing the stock cooler. Damn fun.

Yeah, Asus is the way to go. After Gainward was sold to PNY tech their products have gone down-hill it seems.

Another small question:
Do you have any further informations about ATI "SLI" technology? I heard about it a week ago, but cant find any details about it...

Two ASUS N6800 Ultras or an X850XT PE. Not sure if there is a best brand for the X850's. This thread may help http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=57628&highlight=X850

ATi is coming out with their own multi GPU technology (supposedly around the time their new R520 based card comes out).
I'd say if you absolutely NEED the best now to get an SLI solution. If you can wait until June/July then you should be able to get an even better ATi based multi GPU solution. But, if you're an nV man, stick with SLI.
Have fun! :toast:

Wait until June if cost is no option and see what G70 and r520 are like.

Well, if I buy the system now, will I get better performance with 6800U SLI or 850Xt PE? Cards will be TEC cooled...

sli - but among single cards, the x850xtpe is best
i dont see the point in sli now - since the next gen is a month away...

I say wait as well, or get x850xt
