He means that in another thread, there was a link to the FaD stats and Plum is kicking some major arse with his FaD team. Whichever way he decides to go, I wish him the very best that distributed computing has to offer. Give the man a Nobel Peace Prize because he deserves it.

I am on the same FaD team as PU; in fact I setup FaD on the first machine Plum ran it on. Before that, we ran UD together. On Plum's team, in FaD, I am Zippy.
Two things, Free-DC is stomping XPC in the dailies and that bothers/ed PU, AND D2OL is rougher on his machines than FaD apparently. He mentioned something about with the incresaed heat a lto of the machines he was running D2OL on were having problems.
Something is wierd though, hopefully maybe some buffering, as at one point Plum was putting out over 400K/day in FaD, but right now it looks like he is doing mid 200's.

Damn, I wish there was a way to transfer all my hard work done here:

To D2OL or whatever (have no idea what it's crunching).

D2OL generates a bit more heat than SETI did for me, but its only about 3-5c difference.

My findings on F@H were that it was way harder on the machines. It would error out and had to lower over clocks witch I do not need to do with D2OL.
Just my findings

Look, he's obviously still alive. Maybe he'll come back to help us barbeque the dutch power cows.

That is true, for a bit there we weren't so sure that would be.
Plum has been battling some pretty serious heart problems, recently, and been in and out of the hospital the last month. They're trying to get a handle on it, and he is no longer in immediate danger.
He is kind of on crruise control with his crunching for the time being, though. Priorities are elsewhere, such as personal health. But he's still putting out some resprectable work. :)
You guys ( and gals ) are still charging hard. Good going!

Wow... sorry to hear that..
Ser, if you talk to him, give him our regards.
Sometimes you forget there is actually a person behind the name on the team and on this forum, and it really brings it into perspective when something like this happens.
My father has been having heart problems (including a major heart attack), so I can relate to what PU's family is dealing with and I wish them the best.
