With my X800XT/PE my games play excellent @ 1600x1200 with stock settings of 520/560 but when I use ATITool to scan for artifacts at stock speeds ATITool detects artifacts unless I underclock the memory.
I've noticed that others using ATITool with the X8x0 series are having problems as well. My question is has anyone switched over to ATI Tool tray with improved results?
I would like to overclock since my temps are way low with the Silencer4.

I find that ATI tool works fine for my memory. It can't work on a R420 core because that core crashes before it artifacts.

even without ramsinks ati tool .23 let me take my memory to 530 and with them i took it up to 610 with no artifacts and the core sitting at a comfortable 540.

What kind of problems were you having and with what version? I was getting artifacts at stock speeds with version .23

ATI Tray Tools for me
btw can someone make thread like that sticky about memory timings for X8xxXT using ATI Tray Tools?
Neither, there both crap.
Ise use Rivatuner 15.4, and test using 3dmark.

I always used ATI tool for an 9800 pro and it worked fine with that. Now if I try artifact testing with a 6800NU (@GT) it always crashes. Does anyone know a solution for that problem?

Rage3D for me, testing with 3DMark and Enemy Territory (it happens that 3DMark is totaly arty-free, but ET is one arty-snow...)

ATiTool works fine with my rig too... but I really have no need to o/c my current card over the stock speed... I need a faster cpu before I have to worry about catching up the video card.
