Hi all I am new to this forum but have been around a little while. I have been driving for a score of 7800+ in 05. Not vdd mod has been done. Not sure if I want to without good cooling on the ram. BGA sinks are worth much. Anyhow I was at 1.62 on the core and got to 669 mhz which was great so I decided to up it to 1.7 as title says. I am now able to get over 690 on core without issues or artifacts. The main issue I am having is that I use to run the tight timings prior to 1.7v but for some reason even at same mem speed or even lower I am artifacting hard. If I leave the mem settings alone I can get to 625 without issues. If I change the trp to 6 I can get memory to 650 so far. still working on that part as well as core but the thing is I am scoring lower at 690/650 then I was scoring at 669/615 with tight timings. Got any idea what the deal is here?
Thx all
Welcome to XS :toast: ..
Thats a nice score....mine @717core/640mem with 1.7V vgpu and chilled water/memory with bga sinks, only a tad higher than yours(05)...Hows the temp?

I am not near 7800 yet. wish I was here is the best score I could do with water cooling at ambient temp. I need to lower the gpu some to get over 700 on the core but I am not sure if its my cpu thats got me stuck so low. I am only at 2650 and 3dmark is more gpu then cpu so I dont think more mhz is gonna make much of a diff. I have a San Diego core 3700+ arriving today and I am going to make a few runs with it and see where it leaves me. The extra L2 should help out a little plus I am sure I can get it to atleast 3ghz oc+. We will see. I see your way above me in score yet I am not gpu clocked to far below so I am thinking it must be the cpu. your cpu is a FX55 correct? Maybe it is the L2 who knows till later. thx for the reply. http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=808347 :toast:

Either voltage or heat I would say. Did the extra core V effect loaded temps much....not that we can tell as easily in Control Center as we could with Overdrive in Control Panel.
Try running a high 5v rail....around 5.5v if you can.
