The 2.8 Nocona ES's have been found and were delivered to me today! The 3.06's came in a day or two ago. Have an order for more 603-V's enroute. AND, Jeff's DX system arrived yesterday.

Expect output to increase shortly, starting tomorrow, with Jeff's system. Was hoping to get it running today, but got waylaid ( it was a good thing! :) )

The rest will come in time. Have a new PC-DL here but need the 3 603-V's to come in, one of them was the missing one from my last order. The 3.06's will go into that.

Ser you're slacking. Put one of the 3.06s on the PC-DL and install the OS, then run two instances of D2OL until the other HSF arrives. Meanwhile you can test how high the chip will OC. That's what I did! :D

Been doing some looking into Docs, trying to get info on these 2.8's.

The sSpec of these 2.8 ES's is QN48. I can find no info anywhere using that number. Then I looked for info using OEM Product Number, RK80546KG0721M.

Got pointed to a doc (http://www.intel.com/design/intarch/prodbref/30275302.pdf) called IntelĀ® Xeon™ Processor and Low Voltage
IntelĀ® Xeon™ Processor with 800 MHz
System Bus for Embedded Computing.

Turns out these 2.8's are extremely low voltage with a VID range of 1.11125V to 1.2V and apparently meant for Embedded Computing. Whatever that means. Hopefully they will work in the NCCH-DL correctly. Pretty sure I don't want to be doing the U-wire pin mod. We'll see. Certainly not initially, til I know a lttle more.

wow, I cant wait to find out what the naconas can do. I'd love to see someone get 4ghz of xeons crunching 24/7 to see what they can do.

told you they'd come

yes, you did. i thought of what you said when it finally got here. it took some pressure and prodding from me to help make it happen. i wasn't gonna just let it go, either. i called and talked to my letter carrier before she left for her rounds on Friday morning, then i went over and talked with her supervisor to make sure it wasn't, perhaps, on a shelf in the backroom at the PO or something.

i know my carrier, we've talked. she knows i work for the post office ( main plant ). she felt bad, and made an effort and found out where she screwed up.

it got a little testy with the seller, for a bit. after 4 or 5 EMs back and forth, i started the PP Resolution process. fortunately, it didn't have to proceed. i cancelled the claim last night. hopefully, both the seller and i learned something from this ( and maybe the carrier, too :) ). i suggested to him that instead of $12 shipping from now on, he charge $13 and pay for Signature Confirmation. that way this will never happen, as the package will never "just be left" ( in the right, or wrong place ). a notice will be if the recipient isn't home to sign for it, and then he can just go down to the local PO and pick it up ( and sign for it ).

Talk about a pension... you lucky mofoHeh. Though there are some benefits at the PO that are real good, like vacation; the pension from there is not all that great. I'd rather be pushing dice at Wynn's place. :) You should make enough to fund your own pension that would be much better than a Postal pension, I'd think. I think people stay because the years tick away, and it ain't "that bad...". Before they know it years have gone by, and they get "comfortable".

Trust me, nobody I know grew up saying "when I get older, I'm gonna work at the PO" ! :)

I wouldnt mind it.

I do need to remember to be grateful for the things in my life. The job I have is secure. Though I :banana::banana::banana::banana: and moan about it, I'm good at what I do and the truth is there is a lot worse jobs out there. It has been a steady in my life through some incredibly rocky times. Considering where I've been, I'm probably fortunate to have it.
