Need help,can get to fsb200.

I dont understand it why it wont boot at 200x15.

The max boot is 160x19=3040mhz at DDR266,and thats it,its running now,but i have to set ram(bh5) at SPD 2-3-3-6,try'd at 2-2-2-5 but also no go.

Temps are CPU1-35°c,CPU2-28°c,mobo-36°c.,is this ok,7°c differens is much isnt.

I try'd at 14x200,13x200 and 12x200 but no go,ram at auto did'nt work also,it simly wont boot at 200fsb settings.

Anybody got an idea whats going on?

maybe your using too low of voltage. BH-5 usually like voltage, so dont be afraid to give 3.0-3.3v to the ram. Just have a fan cool them.

I have the DX 2.0ghz LV on PC-DL full modded now running at 19x162=3083mhz @ 1.6vc(in bios 1.55v) on air,ram is @ 3.45vdimm(bios) 2-3-3-6.

My corsairs can run fsb 250 @ 3.2vdimm so its not the ram,thats ok it has now 3.45v sothats plenty,but the will not run at 2-2-2-5.

I have now a GF2 MX400 and 4gb HD,de rest is the same hardware as the A64 rig in sig,except cpu's and hd,oyes and also the OCZ Powerstream 520w i think thats also ok.

If you need more info,just say so.

One thing more,what sort of prog can i use to stress the xeon at 100% cpuload.

There is not a chance in the world of running the 2.0 LVs with 200 FSB. They will try to run momentarily at 20x200 and fail to post.

Don't feel too bad because I have two pairs of 2.4/533 LVs and one of them will boot at 200 FSB and the other won't.

the 2.0 need to boot lower and use clockgen to get them up. mine are fine upto 230fsb just not on boot up.

:woot: Am now running at 3200mhz 20x160:surf:with ram at 2-2-2-5 :woot: ,cpu1 @37°c and cpu2 @34°c idll.

I can boot in to windows at 20x165=3300mhz:sonic:,but to be on the safe side i put it back at 20x160=3200mhz,me very happy now :banana: .

I will try clockgen,but am gone run D2OL now to see how it is when stressed at 100%.

i cant get a vcore of over 1.47v (1.45v load) as the 1.6v u wire makes it not post (spinning fans etc but nothing else happens)
3000mhz is definately stable 3100 is fine but it over heats and crashes after a few hours (ive modded a pair of nonoca passive hs to fit and a a quite 80mm fan running over them)
temps get to 55-57oC

if i run a single cpu in socket 1 i can use 1.6v and that will prime for 2 hours at 3300. ive got a storm g4 and a cascade so i might try watercooling it. in the long term its going to have a dual evap phase change cooler and hopefully it should be good for 4ghz so i wont have the problems with the boot at 200mhz thing

I have also the 1.6 vmod done,and i get 1.54/1.55vcore in bios,i did also the vdimm mod and that gives me 3.45/3.50v.

My temps are a little bit better then yours though,cpu 1 and 2 now run at 3040mhz at 47°c with open case and fan blowing at it,but it was a warm day overhere(28°c)its cooling down right now,3200mhz freezed up my windows.

Overall its not that bad :p: .

well after moving it somewherecooler and adding another fan im at 3100mhz 1.46v 39/41oC the temps here are very high (it hit 36oC in my room today and earlier i had the dx in a cupboard hence the very high temps)
