Little Help finding a good Xeon?

I Bought my PC-DL now im having trouble finding 1.6 lv's Although I did find a hell of a price on 1.7's can anyone tell me if these are any good

That's not the one to get. Look for a 1.6 LV with either a D1 or C1 stepping.

You might register and then look over at 2cpu.com. Stuff comes up for sale fairly often there.

Avoided because they overclock poorly, or are just crappy cpus to begin with?

No these are C1 chips. Use this to check for stepping, by entering the sSpec code:

Looks like the same guy is getting both of the lv's on ebay.
