I currently have a 754 3400 @ 11x230, and shuttle an50r. i use 2 512mb of msukin lvl 2. i have a radeon 9800 pro that i run at stock speed. I play many games, bfv, farcry, doom3, BIA, etc.

I think i want to go with 2 6800Gt's, most likely the leadtek with the nice cooler on it. So my options sort of revolve around SLI.

Looking at the DFI it looks like 2 6800's will not fit to well, but the asus a8n sli looks like it has good room.

I have ram covered, so basically just a board, and i think for a cpu maybe the san diego ( a couple weeks away?) at 2.4ghz (3800, or 4000, whatever.) basically just 230 or so fsb, nothing to extreme.

Money is not to much of a big deal, however i do not plan on buying a fx, or 6800U's etc. and im really not to interested in getting a 3000 series cpu and overclocking it to much, im fine paying for a 3800 etc.

Any advice?

Id go with the 3500 venice and a dfi 4 board. Im upgrading from the 754 rig as well.

U will see quite an improvement if u can get it to about 2.8 over what we run now plus dual channel and a better mem controller =)

i see the venice has only 512 cache, while i know this is still a substantial amount, i think i would rather go with a unit with the 1mb of L2? I think the venice would only be helpful if it can overclock substantially higher then the 1mb cache version?
