Anyone know where I can buy SL6LA or SL6E6 chips?

From Dell. You can get SL6LA, they are OEM CPU's. You need to buy the whole Dell rig to rip apart and get your gem CPU :p
SL6E6 is the retail version of SL6LA, I believe.

I found myself a 2.0A C1 stepping processor from a new DELL system.
It really performs superb.
On my 'old' ASUS P4T-E board it runs perfectly stable at 20x154 (bios settings maxed out, with switches could it be 156 max) so 3086MHz on DEFAULT voltage. Yes, at 1.525volt what shows up in motherboard monitor as 1.45-1.49volt. Yes, my P4T-E undervoltage the processor.
I ran it all evening with PRIME95 and several other benchmarks. It's perfectly stable. Now I need another mainboard that can go a little higher because it looks like this CPU has a lot of potencial.
2000@3086MHz with default voltage must be able to reach a lot higher with another board.
This is cooled with a DANGERDAN 3 clone and homemade watercooling.
The IDLE temperature is 29 degrees and the STRESSED temperature is 38 degrees.
Everybody go and search for those DELL systems.

Yes, I know.
Maybe I should go and check if the EPOX 4T4A+ board is still in the store where I am supposed to start working soon for a while.
I had this board last week and with only 1 256MB RIMM4200 module it was totally stable, even at 160x4. With 2 modules I couldn't get it even to run on default.
Just the thing is that it's really noticable if you run you're rig with only 256MB of memory and I know that in the store only lay 2 of these modules (SAMSUNG PC4200 32ns).
The board was revision 2.0 and was really fast and stable, just the problem with 2 modules is still there.
Well, I will see what to do, but I know that I need another board with higher FSB speeds.

What do you need a C1 for. I just got a BO, that does 3.1 on air with a factory heatsink and 1.7 volts, packdate 11/15.
You do realize that it is still the luck of the draw on a good chip. I had a 2.66 in the shop for a customers computer that woulnt do over 2.85, no matter how many volts.
Luckely, i keep the best chips for myself!!!hehe
i got this 1.8 C1 at 3ghz on default voltage, doesnt seem to want to go any higher. maybe a good burn-in should help

Do you think that the DELL here in Australia would also have the good 1.8A cpus?
Hmmm this is getting to be down right tempting :D
