#1 X700Pro 128mb!

I finally got the DFI Ultra-D running and put in my x700pro 128..

I put my watercooling on the core and overclocked it like mad.. The core hasnt done so well but i got 615mhz on the memory 3d05 and 03 stable.

Im not top of the list for x700pro's all together, but for the 128mb versions I am. I think with a vgpu mod I can get the core up to 560-590 and take number one for both 128mb and 256mb versions.

EDIT: Update.. with the voltmod i got the core up to 564 sofar and have 3919 which is 106 marks from #1.. give me a few more minutes and i will hopefully have it.

EDIT2: Well I took 3D03 by about 300points. now to try for the overal record which is 10,004 and i have 9953. so 131 points away from victory.

sadly both of my 03 and 05 scores could be fixed by 200-300mhz of cpu power.. but sadly i have none of it to be had!

These cores dont like to go too far without the mod.

yah.. does anyone know how to mod it with the pencil mod.. i dont have anyh adjustable resistors on hand so i dont want to have to go get some... its annoying.

ill take it easy on the core volts.. it doesnt need much to get it to #1 i dont think. but i believe the main thing is just getting a different cpu... i should be getting some VX memory soon so ill try that in the DFI and with this cpu (tops out at 255 mem) run it at 2-2-2-5 and see if i cant take #1

shockingly enough this is actually 2ns ram and not 1.6ns.. i was amazed at how hight the memory goes on this thing.


gochin: Im coming after you bud! you may have me beat by a mile on 01 (ur FX55 takes care of that) but in 03 and 05 i still got room to go. but it seems that the 256mb really helps out with the scores. gets you an extra 600points all things being equal.. ohwell..

Maybe it should be something that can be filtered if it makes a big difference in '03 and '05.

geforce... i dare not post my 01 score... lol.. my cpu blows pretty bad so my scores are relaly low.. but at stock settings (video, mobo and cpu) it gets around 18k..

One category is 'X700pro",...the other is 'X700series', and from what I can tell they appear to be the exact same cards. Am I missing something?

but the guy at the top of hte 2k1 orb has a 128mb x700... but my memory clocks are alot better than his and with a gpu mod i can get better gpu clocks.. so that means i just need a cpu and some VX and im golden.

Thats a bit less than what I get at 2GHz but thats winxp for you, 300MHz higher cpu clocks. Well your ram may be slower too. winxp costs about 150MHz cpu's worth so your 2.3 would be like 2.15 under win2k

ok with the volt mod i took #1 for X700pro 3dmark03. but couldnt get 05 just yet.. 104 points to take #1 in 05.. sigh this 128mb of ram is really limiting me.. have to clock it really hight to make up for it.

as for overall #1 in x700's there is still one 10k score that i have to beat.. its held by one of the guys that posted here who seems to be an xr member.. hehe. extra motivation... time to turn up the volts and hope i dont kill it.

The mod is in the graphics section. I just got it from there..

50K vr to hte resitor shwon, and then solder to the capactior (ground) shown and ur done. It will get u to 1.55 volts (1.35stock) without turning down the reisistor.

My card hits a wall @ 490 core.
Gonna try a voltmod.
The mem is fine up to 590-600

@ maxxracer: dude, the amont of ram does not affect the skores at 2k3 and 2k5 :slap: . even if it does, 256mb will give you only around 50-100 points on 2k3 and 10-20 ponits on 2k5. so, it is negligable.

Dual Cascade will help you to take the lead and to make a gap.Go over Charlie's home and give an o/c party there! :toast:

well i got the core up to 1.7volts... it doenst ever seem to get warm... i geuess the radiator and pump i got on it are a bit overkill.

might try for move voltage...

odly enough though on one run my video gave out for no apparent reason.. it wasnt even artifacting during the run when it gave out... idk why.. restarted and it was fine.


welp somethign is wrong with it.. its doing the black out thing one very run of 3dmark now... so much for any more benching with this card...
