Okay guys its crunch time and Swiftech isnt going to come thru for me. Originally I choose the 6002-a for my new block. However it was sadly confirmed for me that we may not see any more of those til mid May or later. So heres my quandry, are my two hydor's in series going to have enough flow and head to make good use of the TDX? I messed with the two pumps this morning in a full sink and was quite shocked at how seemingly powerful the flow was.

Two may be overkill and not give you the results you are looking for because of the added heat.
Definetly enough for the tdx if that is the route you want to go.
BTW I use two heat dumping pumps as well.

My hydor's dont seem to have much heat dump at all I believe they use around 30 watts. I figure between 45 and 65% goes into the loop it's self so I cant be that bad.

The two hydors would be fine for a tdx. The rest of the questions like heat dump, I cannot answer.

The hydors have a relatively high heat dump and power draw for their performance.
two of them will dump more heat into the system than an iwaki md20 and perform considerably worse.
But if you have a big rad you can compensate and it wont matter as much.
As to the acutal flow rates will be pretty good as it will have 12.5 ft of head and good flow. the heat dump of hte two pumps should be around 25watts btw.

I have two hydors(L35 & L30) in series and they do alright with my RBX with the #5 nozzle. I also don't have any problems with the heat dump WHEN using MY BIX2 Rad, but the heat dump is pretty high on the hydors. If you run in a loop with a gallon of water in jug it will warm up pretty fast. So I'd say you'll be alright but I'd be looking into a new pump for the future.
We should devise standard test for testing heat dump. An example would be like hooking pump up in a closed loop with a standard gallon jug then measure the difference in temperature after 30min and then an hour if the water isn't to hot. Then we could all share the info here on XS.

you need a calibrated temperature probe to do that..
