Hey guys,
I have been trying TCCD again to see if I can get 1GB and high speeds on my "weak" processor. In my signature are my normal specs. I have been running 512MB VX @ 245 2-2-2-5 for a while and wanted to see if I could make my temps go down without a RAM that bakes inside my case (3.4V normally, 3.6 on occasion). Well, I sold my VX and then bought some TCCD. I bought the OCZ PC4800 kit first, then the PC4200 plat. kit next. I cannot get the 4800 kit to run DDR550 stable even @ auto settings (one stick likes 2.6V while the other likes 2.9V). I then ordered the 4200 kit and tried again. DDR600 @ 2.5-3-3-8 worked for each stick independently, but did not work together. When I say stable, each 4200 stick runs 25 loops of memtest and it passes only if I am using one stick. With the one stick of PC4200, I tried to boot to Windows and it would not boot at 8 x 300 after passing memtest. I believe that my memory controller is shot (maybe continuous 3.4-3.6V did it in) and I am about to give up on the 1GB idea all together. Would you guys say that is correct? I am going to purchase the DFI S939 AGP board with a Rev E whenever it comes out but I would like a confirmation that my PC4200 kit is soliid as I believe that it will be the RAM for my next box. What do you think?

Edit: I also forgot to say that I have a 79cfm 120mm fan taking air from the outside and blowing it down on the RAM. I doubt I would have a heat issue.
