I was checking up on this http://newbietech.net/eng/qtoq/nvidia/6800/6800mod.php and I have a broken 6800 GT I was trying this out on. I heated up the smud just a bit to get it off but then it like stuck to the soldering iron and I screwed it over lol. Any tips on actually being able to do this mod without :banana::banana::banana:ing things over? I was thinking getting that resistor(or whatever it is off) and find out what it is and just the same resistor just in a bigger size so i could actually solder it.

w00t, I guess nobody cares about modding their cards into Quadros. :stick:
hmm... you have to solder out this resistors and resolder them on a different place, am I right?
As I can sea in the picture he has a special tip on his iron...
I guess you won't have one like this!
I would go this way:
Heat up both sides of the resistor - Not the thing in the middle of the resistor!!
You only have to melt the solder on both sides - that is where the resistor is connected to the PCB

My god, that website was SOOOO slow to load.
Your lucky, those "resistors" are just shunts I think (0ohms)
So if you break or loose one you can just replace it with a SINGLE STRAND of fine wire.
Dont try and solder a big load of wire on, a little bit will do.
Before you do this use a multimeter to test a resistor you have not touched to make sure its ok.
When I mod something I allways write down resistor values before I start, so if i loose anything I can replace it without messing about on the floor looking for what I dropped.
