There is one on sale on ebay, is it a recovery unit? Whats it for? Whats gasing?

it is simpely a vacuum pump combined with a charge cylinder. A charging cylinder is a device that is basicily a clear tube that is graduated you then fill it with freon, then tranfer it into system. They were used to visually measure the charge before the highly accurate scales became available.my current scale is accurate to 1/10 of a ounce. walt
ps : depending on what is sells for you may get a good deal on a vacuum pump

The wierdest looking ones are always the worst, quality wise. At least my experience with uniquely shaped tools has shown that :p:

Well the "Shark" used to sell here but the motors all burn out due to temperature on the roof here i n Vegas. 130 to 140F
the gassing unit looks like it includes a liquid charger which will tell ya how much you putting into the system ;)

That will be why operating conditions are 50 - 104F :slap:
